Rev. Robert F. Galitz, life
long Rotarian, was a charter member of the Waukesha Sunrise
Rotary Club and Past District Governor for Rotary District
6270. Bob lost his struggle with Lou Gehrig's disease in
1999.
Following Bob's passing, the club established the Bob
Galitz Memorial Scholarship Endowment Fund. The goal of the
fund is to provide an annual scholarship for a returning
college student. Students are nominated by District 6270
Rotary Clubs.
In order to fund the endowment, the Waukesha Sunrise Rotary
Club held the inaugural Bob Galitz Memorial Golf Outing in
2001. The golf outing continues every year in memory of
Bob's many contributions to the Rotary world.
